A gentle, poetic and at the same time thoroughly contemporary story drawn from the lives of two women one whose world is slowly drawing to a close, another with everything before her.Hana is old, ill, and can barely walk. But she is a wise and realistic woman who doesn´t complain even though she knows that her life no longer holds much in store for her. But the old woman has no idea what Nina can accomplish. One day, Hana´s son František comes by with a strange, slightly mysterious and very unconventional girl to help out around the house. At first, Hana refuses to have Nina around, but soon enough she is not able to resist her. Nina carries out her positively original stunts with such ingenuous kindness that Hana begins to take the rather odd girl to heart. The adventures they have together rouse Hana from her lethargy and she enjoys herself and laughs in a way she hasn´t in a very long time. Nina even charms the dull and serious František. But they all know that it won´t last forever; and in the end Nina leaves them just as suddenly and with as little explanation as she came.
