Just a Little Bit of Jazz is a story of great love-and death. Based on the book by famed Czech writer Josef Škvorecký, this film develops around a group of grammar school friends and their jazz band. In German occupied Bohemia, jazz was prohibited and the Nazis prevented the young Czechs from playing even a few notes of their beloved American music. Naturally, the students reacted against these regulations, but practical jokes were their only weapon. Life wasn't then about jazz, it was about survival, and only some of them managed to do so.
