Catalogue of Czech Television Programmes
From Prague’s Old Town Square, Czech Television broadcast this symphony held in honor of Music Day. Under Jiří Bělohlávek's baton, the old quarter resounded with compositions by Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček and Josef Suk. The early evening ambience on the Old Town Square and the views of Prague Castle and other architectural treasures (including the Týn Church, the Astronomical Clock Tower and Saint Nicholas Church) created a unique atmosphere in perfect harmony with music of these Czech masters.
