This documentary film consists of personal reminiscences by several former prisoners at Theresienstadt concentration camp.Nazi propaganda talked of the Theresiendstadt camp as of a town full of happy and contented Jews. The theatre performances, concerts and other cultural events organised secretly at first by the prisoners, served the Nazis as examples of the good conditions reigning there. Several of these former ghetto inmates testify to the inhuman monstrosity of the dreadful situation when the prisoners were allowed to stage theatre shows before being transported to the liquidation camps. However, these cultural activities had kept them sane for a while.
