A unique documentary film about the opening of a newly discovered and thus unlooted Egyptian tomb, that of an administrator at the royal palaces from around 500 BC. The tomb was found and opened by Czech Egyptologists led by Prof. Miroslav Verner as the final planned event to close a research project that has been underway for several decades. The 24 ton lid was removed, the sarcophagus revealed and opened, and the mummy lifted out – all with Czech Television standing by as the only television unit in the world permitted to follow this unique event in the history of world Egyptology.
