A travelogue about the Philippines, the second largest archipelago in the world. Our documentary film describes the area around the Busuanga and Koron Islands. Visually the most interesting are the under-water shots of the coral reefs and the creatures whose habitat this part of the world is. Bare-gilled slugs are among the most beautiful undersea invertebrates. Their brightly coloured bodies and graceful movements are much to be admired. The undersea camera caught their beauty together with that of the squids, sepias, starfish and sea urchins. What the Indian Ocean also has to offer divers is exploring one of the largest shipwreck cemeteries dating back to the Second World War. A barracuda two metres long found a hideaway in one of the Japanese ships that were sunk here. This predator, but also the wonders of diving in the freshwater Barracuda Lake with its unique thermo-climate, are just some of the things you can see in the documentary film.
